Apparently this is the verizon network 1000 min PLS 1000 text for $30 per month. No contract.
Has anyone had any experience with this? I am considering this...

Yes, it's only native VZW coverage (which should eventually include non-divested ALLTEL properties), but for most people that's probably more than sufficient.

Now if only one of their phones supported tethering, this could be a workable replacement for the Verizon Mifi Ev-DO access point, minus the Wifi router, contract, and high cost plus 1000 voice minutes, assuming you don't go over 250MB (mifi contracts are $40 monthly subscription for 250MB (which is what straighttalk has) and 10 cents per MB overages, or $60 for 5GB and half the overages price)
There's the unlimited version for a bit more ($45), one ST user left them for Page Plus after less then a month of not being able to make her web service work. Seems like that is an issue for more then just one person. Page Plus is supposedly coming out with a similar plan on August 6 (unlimited talk/text/20 megs web) for 39.95 along with a bunch of other plans ( incluing 1200 min/1200 txt/20 meg web for 29.95) from August to September . These plans look like a direct response to ST. No free 411, but you can get free 411 from places like 1-800-BING-411, 1-800-Yellowpages and others so it's not that bad. Page Plus appears to have greater coverage, definitely allows roaming (with an additional charge), and has the ability to use any Verizon phone.
If all this is true, about the new plans, Page Plus will do okay.
1-800-GOOG-411 is one of those "others." That's a big one.Originally Posted by knowbody09

I've used Goog 411 a lot in the past.

Why doesn't someone combine publicly available home phone numbers and business numbers into one directory service? I see no one doing this. Sheesh.

Yeah, you pay for airtime or other "applicable charges" , especially if it's from a cellphone. No DUH. Oh yeah, you DO pay. If it's from a Verizon cell. Can you hear it NOW?
