    Want to increase Data Usage

My friend who owns a blackberry pearl only uses 11mb of his 500mb data plan last month. He's not very tech savvy. How should he make use of his data plan? I told him to try internet radio. But apps like Pandora only works in the US. We live in Canada so we were wondering if there are any internet radio apps that work here. What other apps will make use of his 500mb data?

yup! i use flycast all the time its very good but be careful since you only have 500mb! if you have 1gig or more you can tether
    200 mins + 50 bonus mins | unlimited evenings & weekends | unlimited network calling + LD | retention value pack | 6gb data |
    $20 + $5 + $10 + $30 + saf + eaf = $72.70 - monthly credits $31.95 = $40.75 before tax

Thanks. Well seeing he only uses about 10mb every month, I think 1gig is way overkilled. Does this internet radio app tell you how much data have been used?

Use what you need to use. Data use = battery drain.

if theres a smaller plan than the 500meg data plan, use that and save some money. ill admit i tried to max my use for a couple of months just to SEE how much i could use, but it was cause i had unlimited and was curious...

its not like i felt cool for having used x amount of data...

if he uses 10-20 megs and theres a smaller plan than 500 meg plan he should go to that, otherwise he should just leave it alone and keep doing what hes doing

I have both flycast and moodio for radio streaming.
I mainly use moodio since I can add my own stations.
The usage is about 20MB for 90min radio streaming with 3G quality

He got the $45 with 150 min voice and 500 mb plan. He updated his OS to 4.5 and he can't connect to the internet now, or his apps can't connect or something (facebook, google maps)...

He has to restore his connections. The radios are disabled during OS changes.

You also need to log in to your BIS and resend the service books after an update.
