Android coming to Nextel/Boost...

Nice! I'm excited to see what they have. Both HTC models have left something to be desired, and Motorola tends to get the basics right.

I'd either switch, or at least buy one to try it out for a month or two if they do this

I was excited a couple of days ago when I posted this first link:

Motorola has scheduled an Android-related event for September 10th, where the new devices may be unveiled. Let's hope one has a Boost label!

But there's another article today at the same blog about Motorola's Andoid phones that makes me more nervous about these phones coming to Boost. This article mentions AT&T (which may cancel its version of these phones), Verizon and T-Mobile. No mention of Sprint or Boost.

Well, seems like they'd want to get iDen and CDMA models out there even more

Can't say I'm surprised AT&T is yet again acting questionably.

And what is "dated display technology" supposed to mean? Am I to believe Motorola is putting passive matrix screens on their Android models?

Wait, wait, I've got it! It means Motorola didn't think color was a necessity, and is putting black and white passive matrix displays on their Android devices. Luckily AT&T is on the ball, and thinks their customers won't want that

I remember reading that Motorola is going to release Androids for ATT, Verizon and T-mobile this fall (which probably aligns with the that Sept. 10 unveiling event) but that the Androids for iDEN won't be available until next year.

My guess is that they mean the displays look like all the other Boost iDen phones. Low resolution and low colors.

That was the first thing that popped in my head!

It's as if there is no one at Motorola to tell them that the units they are producing are subpar! Not everyone wants smartphones...but everyone wants a solid phone with innovative design and features. And those of us who want a smartphone definitely do NOT want one with an outdated display!
