I don't have a MyTouch3g but this works on the G1 w/out root.

Is it possible to tether the MT3G so far? I have the $25 plan and would like to use it with my home computer.
Yes I know I can pop the Sim card into the SE Tm506 and tether, but was curious to see if I could do with the mytouch.

I've written to the developers and will report back once they tell me whether PdaNet works with the myTouch.
Personally, my ideal would be Bluetooth tethering from the myTouch to my Asus 1005HA netbook running Windows XP.
PdaNet works perfectly on Ion, so it should work on MT3G. Its for Android, not a specific device.
That is VERY interesting... good to know for the future
I would love an Android phone, but refuse to give up my Total Internet plan for now.
I picked up the mytouch Sunday afternoon. PDAnet does work. I just finished installing and testing alittle while ago. Tried it on an Acer aspire. Just as easy as it was with the wing.
Just got confirmation directly from the developer.Originally Posted by hpmoon

thanks to Amon and Haykuro and others over at XDA
Your post is totally irrelevant to this thread. So your comment, "May no longer be necessary" makes no sense. You jailbreak a phone for specific purposes, but the point here is (through the discussion), you absolutely don't need to for tethering.Originally Posted by Antenna
So what's the answer? pdanet?? You're 'confirmation' didn't answer the question either.
