    Sweeeeeet! It looks like I will be paying full price for this puppy (upgraded to an LG ENV Touch within the past year). So I will wait till I hear back from a few of you folks who gotta have it first before I drop that much cash. So please post a review one you have it in hand!

    Great! Let us know how you like it. I am going to wait to order it online so i get the instant rebate. How much did you pay for it?

    $got my $249's worth...
    Well....Just got it...VERY nice...Lighter than I expected...though it's a brick
    I turned it on my 2nd line of the family plan....it did an auto setup without logging onto Verizons website. Nice...then I switched it over to my line.... Data plan? ...what data plan? It offered it to me....I said no, it went on. Fine, be that way It didn't add it, though when I turned it onto the line I ordered it for, it did add it and then subtracted it out when I went back to the original phone on that line.

    Pics are coming, but so far I like it. Gotta play with it a bunch. Talking on it right now. Very good sound quality. I'm not disappointed with it so far. I haven't delved into the menu's yet, though I looked at em online and they are the same as all non touch screen Verizon's....they work like my alias2 though they look different.

    more later...

    So it's $249 after $50 rebate with 2-year, but how much is the full retail?
    => Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.

    => VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

    I'd be very surprised if he's able to skate by the data plan permanently. Either the Brigade isn't ESN locked to data plans yet due to it not being officially released or he's in for a surprise when he gets his first bill.

    No, I think it's because I upgraded one of the other phones on my family plan. It's under a new contract. I'm still under my old contract. So I turned it on to the other line, set it up which officially upgraded the contract of that line. Then I put back a basic phone on that line and brought the Brigade over to my line, which is under my old existing contract. I double checked and it didn't add the data plan to my line. It is there if I want to add it on, but it's not on the line. I don't expect that it will suddenly show up on the line.

    That shouldn't matter. Data plans are tied to ESNs not contracts...meaning if you activated a used env touch on your account you would be required to add a data plan no matter what.

    Well, then things could change later...though I don't know of a case where they suddenly change your existing plan if I don't change anything else...but we'll see.

    So I did some texting this morning, and I like the keys and feel and function wayy more than the Alias2. No switching keyboard layout to hit a question mark or number. I really am liking this.
