Exclamation Help to unlock my v3m from verizon

Good day all people. I need your help please.

My brother in US used v3m from verizon as his mobile phone for my college days. Now He's changed to another phone and send his v3m to my country in Indonesia and I want to use my v3m with CDMA provider in my country.

I've been searching and read most of threads here, but the more i read the more I confused on how to unlock my v3m. Please be so kind to help me step by step on what should I do to unlock my v3m.
Unlock = want to use my v3m previously with Verizon to CDMA provider in Indonesia.

Thank you in advance. I'll keep monitoring this thread

Unlocking is a term used in the GSM world, not in CDMA. You may be able to have your provider flash the phone to work on their network, but that would be up to them. I know that in the US, some of the providers will do this, while others absolutely will not.

    Okeh...
    1. Good news ... only a few places in the world have CDMA service. You'll need to get with your carrier to active the v3m in Indonesia.

    2. A Verizon phone has the "subsidy lock code" set to "00000000" and is unlocked to start with. You don't have to do anything to "unlock" a Verizon phone.

    3. Your carrier has to program your phone and enter its' particulars n their system. That said - some carriers insist on "their phones" and this is a political problem that "unlocking" doesn't fix.

In the worst case, you need a cell phone repair shop to "flash" your phone with the "monsterpack" for that phone and carrier.

    Good luck!

...and there probably isn't one. The only ones I know of are Alltel, Verizon, US Cellular, metroPCS, Cricket, Pelephone (Israel), and Bell Mobility. Pelephone is the only carrier outside of North America with a leaked monster for the V3c/m. So, basically, you're out of luck.

Thanks for the correction. v3m in my country are all used with CDMA "injected" number to the phone. They all use Verizon Firmware in their phone.

My brother said he's out of contract with the verizon and the status of the phone is without contract.

Is it possible for me to just waltz to my carrier office and let them set their parameter like SID, NID, ESN HEX (which got from a RUIM card) and PRL??
My provider doesn't have any firmware for v3m.
What should i need to let my provider use their parameter on the verizon firmware? only the subsidy code alone?

    Thanks in advance

The MSL code should be 000000. Sprint's the only carrier that changes theirs. If they do in fact use the Verizon firmware, then yeah, they would just input their settings. Ask them and see what they need to do.

My provider doesn't recognized the phone because it's non-existent in motorola here.
So they just gave me the SIM ID (i believe it's ESN because it's in HEX code), SID, NID, MIN, Channels. The provider itself usually used a RUIM card, but they said these parameters are what i need to use my number in this phone.

    So my questions now :
How can i put these parameters on verizon v3m? ESN number can be changed?

Is it true that verizon firmware locked many potentials of the phones?
If it's true, should i flash it to another f/w or just unlock their functions from the threads here?

    Thank you
