    My wife changed her plan to the following two weeks ago without extending her two years plan.

    $20 monthly retention plan
    200 daytime
    unlimited even at 7pm + wkd
    unlimited incoming
    1000 min fido to fido
    extended network
    call display/name calls
    enhanced voicemail
    2500 text
    minute tracker
    no saf or 911

    Guess how much she pays every month. $15 plus tax. Super hot, huh?!

    thats because she got credits before this new effect took in with limitation with retentions

    imagine if i were to change my plan
    that is listed in my signature to the $25
    if i was lucky and fido didnt check properly
    Fido wud pay me for my plan
    but yeah
    u usually get to keep past credits to a certain way
    cant me my case where Fido/Rogers would pay me money to use my service
    Dont think u got the best deal cause if ur wife called today without anything she wud be getting $25 plan with no credit
    so she is just lucky

    You're right. It all depends on the csr who answers your call.

    My wife has $25.00 credits under her account.

    just because he didnt get what he wanted
    and u did because u called in before the retention cut had happened

    I was lucky enough to call in just several days before retention dept merging with relation dept, but $25.00 credits was there since last July on a two years retention plan.

    I still heard from different sources that retention plan exists though.

    there like supervisors
    but CSR can offer u and cancel u now
    so its hard to get to them

    So, I called in today as my $10 monthly credit was ending next month and was transferred to customer relations department. First she said you can't have the same credits for another 14months as after nov 08, plans less than $30 are not eligible for monthly credits and offered me another plan with all the add ons for $25 plus tax. As i have no intension of renewing so, I ask her if there is anything she can do with my account then, she said i can have my current $25 student plan with no SAF and 911 charge. It's not the best deal but I am happy $25 plus tax.

    by asking for call display for 6 months

    give it another shot and tell them another company called u to switch over

    do they still credit the SAF for the plans that still have it?

    ie. if i sign for 3 yrs + 8gb iphone on fullfido80, can I expect my saf to be credited for the duration of the contract?

    if ur lucky u will get a $5 credit

    You expect a 10$ credit on a 25$ plan, bringing you down to a 15$ plan. Hmmm lets see:

    15$ - 50 mins. [to the avg, consumer]
    25$ gets you - saf/911 credit [saving 7.45 right there], 10$ for unlim. incoming, caller ID at 5$ } 22.45$ of 'features' and 2.55$ for 1,200 mins, a month.

    Yeah, right, you are going to get TONS of credits!

    Seriously take it and don't look back would be my advice.

    I have seen people with $25 base plan plus $15 monthly credit. boy that's insane lol but as i spoke to customer relations today they won't budge as i wanted to have same $10 for rest of my contract but then, they offer me no saf and 911 instead of $10 off. but as cellphoneSTAR said i might get $5 but still if i go on 2 or 3 years contact but my current plan is still good for another 13 months so, no worries.
