Thanks for your reply but why wouldn't I be eligible anymore?

Sorry, not sure how to edited my post...

So after some more reading, I guess you're saying I'm not eligible because I don't pay SAF. Surely for someone that pays 120-150/mth on their bill is worth a little something for them to keep me around otherwise Wind mobile would definitely be an option since their 45 dollar plan would fit the bill perfect. Just need to wait for them to launch in Vancouver.

As well, after looking at the 70 dollar 2000 minute plan, it would really end up costing me 10 dollars more, I could drop my unlimited incoming but I would still need to retain my Canada LD.

Sorry for the delay...When you changed your price plan from the old one to this version (Fido Basic Plan), you put yourself out of contention of getting an futur handset discount, Plus having a chance of getting a possible Retention Price Plan...

For now, my suggestion will be, like you point out earlier, 70,00$/2000MIN. Week-Days+Evening-W-E Unl. @ 7PM.+10,00$ Value Pack+25,00$ BB BIS+20,00$ Can LD=125,00$+Taxes.

I suggest you to change it in the meantime, Fido might offer some new price plans later this year...

    Good Luck!

Hi, the following is my plan that I got from Fido. I have been with them for over 7 years. I have 11 months left on my 36 month contract. Expires Dec 23, 2010. I got this plan last month without having to renew again.

    350/Unl.E/WE + Unl. txt msg - 35.00
    Unlimited Incoming Calls - 12.00
    Value Pack - 10.00
    Credit: Monthly credit $10 -10.00
    5 p.m Early Evenings - 6.00
    Credit: Monthly credit $6 -6.00
    Special LD Calling - UK - 10.00
    Credit: Special LD Calling -10.00
    NO S.A.F.
    Total $47+tax

I am very satisfied with this plan. It took some lobbying and a few calls. The first csr offered this to me and all csr's still honoured it as it took me about a week to think about it and I called in every second day to make sure it was still available to take. I have to say from my experience they have been really good. Will wait for Wind mobile here in vancouver though before I renew my contract.

It changed my rate per minute from .35 cents to .15 cents It's $10 a month for that change but they credited for the remaineder of the term with a $10 credit per month.

No it's different. With your's it's only .15 cents to call a landline in u.k. but still .35 cents to call a mobile. The plan I got is .15 cents to mobile or landline. I checked my usage and it charges now .15 cents a minute when before for the same number called was .35 cents a minute. My friend only has a mobile so this works out really well for me that they were able to do this.

I think it is a retentions offer. When I was arguing about the LCA chance back in October, they had to transfer me to Customer Relations/Retentions.

it was from a retention person. I didn't threaten to cancel. When I called customer service, I asked the person to take a look at my bills which were $300-$500 average for the past 6months and if he can find me a better plan. He made that offer and I asked if retention can do better, at which point he told me he was from retention.
