if your a high user an say you have an 80 dollar plan
then its possible to get more credit on the add ons
but if you have a basic plan for about 25 dollar
then its unlikely they will give more credits
i mean what do you expect? you want them to give you a 20 dollar credit so your plan is $5/month
you have to be realistic, also i think it has something to do with your ARPU( average revenue per user) or something like that

I want to get the new blackberry. Would it be possible to get a voice and data/blackberry (only used for bbm) plan for around the same price as my current plan?
I am willing to sign a 2 or 3 year contract.
That looks doable, for sure. Obviously not as easy as calling in and requesting it, but with a bit of work it's definitely attainable.Originally Posted by kongx

$17.50 voice plan (200 min, Evening and weekends)
$10 Retention (caller ID, Voice Mail, 2500 Text)
$15 (50MB BB data)
then try to extend your credits for the duration of your contract. they prob wont extend both but its worth a shot, best case scenario you can extend one of them
I just renewed my internet stick for another 2 years last month and got my first bill. I recieve a $20 credit from when I signed up a long time ago. I was charged at pay per use rate for a month and it took 2 months to get it corrected.
They now charge me $10/month for tethering but I have a credit for it. I was going to try and cancel service and find someone to transfer it too but no one really wants it for my price.
They gave me a 50% discount on the data, so I now pay $12/month for unlimited data.
here is my first bill;

I am with Fido on a mtm term right now. I was going to switch to Wind Mobile until I saw their current coverage map for Edmonton. Since I drive locally for a living, not all the areas I need are covered. So, I have asked Fido for an iPhone with some type of incentive to stay. Here is what I have been offered....
$65 iPhone plan;
$00 Unlimited incoming calls;
$00 Early evenings from 5 pm;
$7 Caller ID;
$10 1000 Canadian long distance minutes;
$00 6 months unlimited local calling
$82/month. The long distance is not cheap and I can do the callback thing for much less for more minutes. I wouldn't mind the 1gb for $5 extra. Is this a good deal? Could it be better? What do you recommend?
The iPhone hasn't arrived yet and the new plan hasn't taken effect yet so I still have time to change my mind. Thank you in advance.

I am currently on a grand fathered fido plan and would like to get more features like texting and minutes and maybe data if my bill would stay under $55.
My current plan:
- $25 Unlimited incoming plan ( 50/1000 minutes and unlimited incoming calls)
- $7 Caller Id/Name Display Add on
- $6.95 System Access Fee
- $0.50 911 fee
- $1.50-$2 Text Messages
TOTAL (with Tax) : $46.42
My Usage:
- About 50 Daytime Minutes( i try to get people to call me instead of me call them to conserve minutes)
-200 Evening/Weekend Minutes
-170-200 Incoming Minutes( Important as i get alot of my calls this way)
- 15ish Text messages Sent ( i would text more but i try not to as it is fairly expensive)
My Needs:
-100-200 Daytime Minutes
-Unlimited E/W would be nice
-Unlimited Incoming Calls or Fido to Fido/Rogers( would be good if it is text/talk but if not its fine)
-Caller Id/ Name display
-2500 Text Messages ( dont see myself sending more then 1000 a month but just in case)
-Internet Plan ( either the Unlimited Mobile Browsing Add-on or a Data Add on that is under 500mb)
I AM willing to Sign a Contract(2-3 years if i am completely satisfied with my Plan and Options/features)
My Current Phone is the T715a and no other phone interests me besides the IPhone 3GS at Fido <--- Only phone i would sign a 3 year contract for
I have been with Fido for 5 Years, payed my bills on time, only called 611 a couple times for questions about plans never complaints. I have signed 2 contracts with them.
Any retention Plans that can fit my needs Ideally ?
( I am nearing 6 months till the end of My contract)
Thanks for Reading

When you get Fido-to-Fido, does it go by the caller ID? E.g. if my friend has his Skype set up to show his Fido number as Caller ID, and he calls me from Skype, will it count as F2F?
I'm not sure...but I highly doubt then because the original connection with you is not coming from a Fido Service but rather from another provider. Even with a Call Display setup you will be charge regular airtime...
