You got it. I hate the hassle of 'credits' IMO, they should be outlawed from Fido and simply reduce their plans by a couple of dollars each, thus making everyone's life easier!Originally Posted by EncoreFido
I don't have to call and recite my memorized 'sob story' and you dont have to hear it!win-win situation!
But seriosuly, is the 25$ JUST F2F, if it were F2R as well, that would seal the deal for me and i would not require the 'extra' 200 DT...
Or is there a 30$ option with the f2r? I wouldn't mind paying that at all!

We dont do Out Bound Retention...I Know we do outbound Renew calls but this agent must of been really dumb to say the least Theres so many things wrong with the offers i do not know where to start?
Your currently NOT on agreement? and have city fido @ 50$ + You pay your saf?
So if im reading this correctly?
You would get a 5$ month credit x 24mths?
You would get a 6.95$ credit x 24mths
Plus the retention Value Pack ( WHICH CAN *ONLY* BE OFFERED BY RETENTION
Plus a free Phone if you renew?
So let me break it down any csr from fido will agree with me on this:
If you have city fido YOU MUST PAY YOUR SAF IF YOU WANT A PHONE WITH A AGREEMENT CREDIT so this agent will give you saf + a free phone
To Much fish here its starting to stink the place up , if this WAS ACTUALLY OFFERED I HOPE TO GOD YOU TOOK IT if not and call in to try and get this the retention rep ( such as myself will laugh my *** off in my chair )
Sorry to Put you down in anyways but this is the reality
You're now tuned into the muh'f'in greatest
Please DO NOT contact me for "Good Deals" You PM will be ignored
Exactly what i saidOriginally Posted by EncoreFido

I would say it's nothing to jump up and down for.Originally Posted by oni_kage
Basically, they are trying to get you on contract and back to the original CityFido deal. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm also on 50$ cityfido, have to pay SAF and 9$ for CD+PVM.
They offered me 15$ off per month for 24 months without contract. Or, with a contract just the SAF waived. Not even back to the original 45$ price.
They seem confused with the deals they're making sometimes.
Edit: actually, after reading EncoreFido, I realize that I forgot about the free phone thing. I was offered that as well, with a 2yr contract, but as I said that was with only the SAF waived.
Since I didn't need a phone, and don't want a contract, the 15$ credit for 24 months without contract is much better for me.

Oh, shut up.
Just shut up!
I can't beleive you don't shut up!!!
i would jump up and down for thatOriginally Posted by WHO
because retentions doesn't hand out $17.50 off a monthly bill as often anymore and on a CITYFIDO
i think that is a deal you should take and hide
cause discounts plus free phone and no saf
thats amazing
too good to be true if u ask me
it sounds believable
Meh. Last week they did everything they could to AVOID me to cancel my cityfido. Figures...
As I said, I was ready to let it go for the 25$ retention package, with unl incoming credit, but without a contract. I know that the plan code has to have the contract, but I just told him to leave a memo that if ever (although unlikely) I was to deact, then they would credit the ECF. It could've basically cost him nothing (given that I probably won't deact) other than the 10$ credit towards the unl inc VAS. That vs the 20$ credit he ended up giving me for 24 months, without contract, to stay on cityfido. So 20$ X 24 months = 480$ cost. Not to mention I'm still not under contract ANYWAY therefore he didn't really "save" me I could cancel tomorrow morning. Other option : 0$ cost, but of course lower ARPU.
Yea Theres alot of new retention agents that are seriously hardcore Newbs that will have alot of coachings due to things like they just did with youOriginally Posted by WHO
Nah, it wasn't retention![]()
Let me get this straightOriginally Posted by WHO
They offered you:
If you take a agreement to waive the saf x 24mths
or
if you dont sign a agreement a 20$/mth credit x 24mths?
anyone see the logic?
Ok, here is the story. They originally called me asking me if i want a free phone and to sign on to a 2 year contract. I said no, and then the CSR offered to take $5 dollars a month. I said no and he then offered 10 dollars and $50 dollars credit if i don't want a phone. I told him I was busy but interested and that I would call back.Originally Posted by EncoreFido
I called back and spoke with another 'Loyalty Dept' person and that is when the offer I wrote about was extended.
Update:
I called in today and the CSR I spoke with the second time had written the offer on my acct notes. I used 50 fido dollars and got the MOTO Z6w on a 2 year plan. Also they honoured the agreement with no problems. So all in all it wasn't difficult to sign on at all.
So that is a 2-year with the $10 VP (losing picture text and who called), $5 off my $50 city fido, and the $7.50 SAF monthly credit. And I used 50 fido dollars and got a new phone. Equaling a $17.50 monthly reduction in my plan price. Still at $55 I am not doing backflips. I guess what WHO said is kind of true. Fido is just giving the $5 back after they raised City fido rates. But I suppose I'll just sell the phone and that will make it worth while
you got very lucky cause usally they dont leave notesOriginally Posted by oni_kage
