Hey I need some help here. My contract ends in a month time and I currently have
17.50 EPP
10 retention value pack
- 10 monthly credit
7 5pm early evening
- 7 5pm credit
no saf or 911
15% from rogers discount
for a total of about 18.50.
I've been trying to extend my plan to another year but the retention reps keep telling me no more monthly credit allow anymore. I'm was only offered the 25$ retention package + taxes. Any suggestion? I can also use a new phone and have about 28$ in fido dollars. I've been with fido since 2005.
Doesn't the 17.50 EPP have 5pm E&W hard coded in the plan, so your $7 credit was useless?Originally Posted by acint
Anyway, they don't give general monthly credits anymore, only credits that are tied to specific features. For example, if they credit $10 Unlimited Incoming, that credit is tied to the option, so if you cancel the $10UI, the credit goes with it.
The other rule is that the sum of all the credits cannot be more than 50% of the voice plan price. So since you have $17.50 as your voice plan price, the credits CANNOT exceed $8.75. Not sure how your Rogers % discount affects this.
Line 1: $25 Retention Plan
200 Daytime Minutes
Unlimited Fido 2 Fido Minutes & Evenings & Weekends @ 7pm
VM/CID/2500 SMS
Monthly Credit (Voice Plan) - ($10.00)
Add-Ons
Unlimited Incoming Calls - $10.00
Monthly Credit (Unl. Incoming) - ($10.00)
6GB Blackberry Data - $30.00
----------------------------------------------
Total: $45 + tax.
Line 2: Data Only Line
ZDATA (no Voice/SMS capabilities)
Unlimited Data (GPUNL) - $50.00
Monthly Credit - ($10.00)
SAF - $6.95
Honestly, I think they won't let you these credits because you actually got too much...Originally Posted by acint

Thanks, that's what I meant. How about the Loyalty plans listed in the first few pages of this thread?Originally Posted by cellphoneSTAR
Do they have any plans with UNC? I'm currently done my contract, but im paying $55 a month but it seems the new retention plans dont have UNC
Current Plan
$50 - T-Bay Unlimited Nationwide Minutes
6GB

^ $10 option via retentions

Using that logic i shouldn't have 15$ worth of credits on a 17.50 plan?![]()
There's also the $40 retention plan - 700 daytime, evenings / weekends from 7, and unlimited f2f,r,rhp. No saf / 911.Originally Posted by EPcjay
I should probably call in and try to get the $25 everything-and-the-ktichen-sink plan. Work has a $45 corporate deal that goes:
- 200 weekdays (billed by minute)
- E/W from 9
- Unlimited Incoming
- Caller ID
- Voicemail
- 1000 Text
- No SAF, 911
- 500 MB Blackberry Data
With ~28 mo left in my contract I'd come out ahead by taking the work plan. I just prefer to stick with Fido for some various reasons.![]()
I recently changed my $25 student plan (150 Anytime, Unlimited Incoming, Unlimited Evenings and Weekends) which had the Call Display + Name Display added onfor $6 per month to a LOY203Y.
The plan I've moved to includes:
200 Anytime minutes
Unlimited Evenings and Weekends
Call Display/Name Display (option)
Unlimited Text Messaging (credit?)
500MB of data ($25)
for $58 (911 and saf included in calculation) + taxes.
I'd like your opinions on it and would also like to know if that Unlimited Text Messaging added on was one of those quasi-loyalty additions or not. Was it something out of the ordinary? I think he mentioning crediting it to my account for 12 months or something, then afterwards the text messaging part would disappear.
Thanks.
