Let me get this straight

They offered you:

If you take a agreement to waive the saf x 24mths

or

if you dont sign a agreement a 20$/mth credit x 24mths?

anyone see the logic?

And, actually, the first offer was 10$, then 15$... then 20$.
And, even after that, I still told him I would PREFER ti have the 25$ plan, but he wouldn't budge. He's either really good at what he does (knowing I'm a high revenue customer for the amount of minutes I use), or he's clueless.

Anyway, for now I took the 20$ credit offer since it doesn't involve a contract and is better than the offer w/ contract (for cityfido). I would STILL have preferred to have the 25$ plan though.

Again, this wasn't retention. Someone else.

my bills come out to $82 a month, on average.

would there be any way of me being able to get a plan that gets me around 700 minutes, unlimited text, voice mail, caller display, + 1GB of data for under $80??

does anyone have any ideas? i don't wanna call in, and sound like an idiot, and ask for too much

ps. ive been with fido for over 8 years now on the same plan, i believe.

I called in today and I manage to get the most common $25 retention that's been mentioned here... Plus $15 ($25 - $10 credit) 500 Mb data option... Plus free Samsung Jack... Total comes down to $40 before taxes... Multiply that by 2 because we have 2 lines...

I was paying $40.45 before taxes with no data... So, my new plan & option for me is good enough...

I currently have;

CityFido $45 no SAF
$11VP 125 text, VM

So I called in interested to get a HUP and was offered a new 16GB Iphone ($250 3 yr contract)

$45 CityFido (no SAF)
$15 Iphone VP (includes Visual VM, 125 Text) (is this still available?)
$25 500MB data.

I really was hoping for a $10 credit on the Data plan but it was a no go.
The CSR did not want to offer me a $10 credit even though I have 6 phones with Fido (3 are CityFido). He said that since its an iphone, he could not give me the credit.

Is this true?

That's the silly, nonscensical, arbitrary rule...but there are always exceptions.

Hi, I wanted some assistance regarding a friend's account that I was helping to fix, basically we got:

-$25
-200 min, ulmtd eve/wknd at 7
-F2F
-2500 txt, CID, VM.

Now it's been a bit over a week but it seems there was some misunderstand, we got no VM, and there has to be a full block on data (Goam and APN) but we still get 3G on the phone, if I apply that block for a Rogers cust. the 3G icon goes away, isn't the same for Fido?

I just wonder if any rep can give me a hand on this cause I feel we could have got a better deal (I'm not saying free!!! ), just a couple things I was hoping for, thx for any assistance.

^If customer service blocks all 3 data services (wap.fido.ca, internet.fido.ca, and the apple APN) then none of the blocks will work. It's a glitch in the system that most reps don't know about it. There is no way to block 100% of data. You can either block REGULAR DATA or iPhone DATA. That is likely why you are still seeing the 3G icon.

Hey thnx for that info, on Rogers I usually request block on Goam and APN, that does it or at least 3 ppl I know have not being charged for any kind of data, still, the 3G icon should not show up or at least that's what happened with Rogers devices, isn't that supposed to be the same for Fido units?

On the other hand, what can I do for my second issue, regarding the plans?
