I'm currently on the plan in my sig. What are they chances I'd be able to get this famous $25 plan everyone is talking about?

Well I finally gave Fido a call back the other day to do as Encore mention and "ask" for the $10 Retention Package. The CSR that I was connected with didn't like that I asked for the package. She tried to tell me I had to get one of the packages she offered because I was not allowed to talk to retention unless I was going to cancel my account. I asked her if she could offer anything remotely close, so I was put on hold for a good min or so while she looked up plans to which nothing came close. So I asked to speak to retention, she wouldn't let me though unless I said the magic words with a cherry on top... It got me kind of worked up because I was being forced to say on the record I wanted to CANCEL my account even though I just wanted to talk to someone the could help me more.
Once I got past the CSR and was connected with retention, I was offered right away a deal that met my needs. I told the rep that all I wanted was the $10 package. But he ended up crediting me the package for the rest of my plan and extending unlimited local calls (I forgot how long it was extended for 6 or 12 months). The catch was that all I had to do was add 12 months onto my remaining contract. I was fine with that because all I wanted to do was save $6 a month, not $16. The rep mentioned what he did was something he wouldn't normally ever do, to which I thanked and told him that he didn't need to offer the bonus's but since he did I was willing to accept them.
Overall, I have to say that the Fido retention dept needs to get a raise because they have helped me achieve a plan I would of never dream to be so costless. I think I'm ready to become a "lifer" with this plan.

i do... but my $10 credit is tied with the fido to fido/rogers option for the duration of my contract upon signing a new 2 year contract (prior to that I had 13 months left of my 3 year contract) Got it back in December... called back to renew contract in January then she extended my credit and gave me $75 goodwill credit cuz I didn't want a phone with 2 months unlimited local calls... but she ended up sending me a free phone anyway because she said the sytem won't let her extend to a two year contract without picking a phone since I was on a 3 year contract before. I compared this when Rogers had the student My5+5 plan and told her that my family's on Fido and my bf and his family's on Rogers and that's who I call the most... so that's how she credit me with Fido to Fido/Rogers... I wanted unlimited incoming, but she said it's an extra $10 option, or switch to the $25 plan everyone else has... so I left it was

The chances of you getting that are very slim because of the new rules or guidelines that have been launched for fido retentions
credits can't be more than 50 % of the voice plan
if u got the $17.50 and got a $10 plan they wudnt do that
but then again u might get lucky and get a newbie fido retention rep
so yeah
its all luck but i would say a no becuase there anal about giving to many discounts
as for the person that has it, he probably got it before fido changed the way retention was done

I had signed a contract back when F2R was given as a free promotion so I believe this was carried over. All my previous plans included the unlimited incoming as well. The last time I dealt with my plan was around 2 years ago and I was offered the texting, F2R, incoming and voicemail for free (as credits).
My question is, my renewal is coming up and I would like to keep everything the same. Obviously, this goes for the credits as well. I saw the retention plan posted on the other page and it's essentially the same thing. The only difference is F2F, which is a huge factor for me. I use anywhere from 700-1000 minutes every month on the Rogers network.
What is the likelihood that I'll be able to get either of the above? Credit/plan renewal or have F2R included on the retention plan?
I would be more than happy to renew my 2 year contract if I got one of these options.

I have a 2 accounts with Fido that are currently under a 2 year contract until Dec 2009, so im not elgible for a new phone until June 09. Is there anyway that retention will be able to give me a a new phone. Im looking to get a iphone 3g 8GB. I have no problem signing a 3 year contract
What do u guys think?
