How do you clear the voice mail message indicator?

I have a Storm and my voice mail indicator is stuck on, it shows one message when there aren't any messages. On the dumb phone there was a clear button for the voicemail icon. Is there something similar to this on the Storm, if not how do I clear the voicemail indicator?

Once in a blue moon i think verizons mail server gets bugged or something, ive had this happen once and i believe all i did was call my voicemail from another phone and leave a message and then get your mail from your phone and see if it resets.

Do you have your AT&T SIM in the phone? Mine gets stuck on when my AT&T SIM has a voicemail. IIRC, I have to leave myself a voicemail, then check the voicemail so that the network sends a flag to turn off the voicemail indicator.

    It's something like that.

Good point, thanks for the tip. I have an AT&T sims card in the phone. Perhaps I have voicemail from att. I never thought of that.

I didn't have any voice mail, but once exiting the AT&T system the voice mail icon disappeared. Odd, but thanks again for the tip.

I'm pretty sure I read way back about a bug. I had the same on my phone before I upgraded to v .148, and I was using Visual Voice Mail. I'm not sure if I read that here or at Crackberry - but it was probably 2-3 months ago.

Glad I could help. I'll have to see if just calling in and exiting the system makes the icon disappear for me, instead of going through the process I described above.
