    the strange thing is
    only web is down, email (through outlook), IM, and streaming still work

    Its like they are just blocking port 80 if your using an iphone. Any ideas how to work around that?

    It's not just the iphone... tried it in a data card as well. Same result.

    Went into a T-Mobile store to sign up for a Flexpay account. I was told by the rep that he had received an email that said that using the Sidekick PrePaid plan on a non-Sidekick was fixed.


    1st: AT&T DSL (company servers sit here)
    2nd: Verizon EVDO (my Palm Centro)
    3rd: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (school & work)

    so no phones besides the sk works on the prepaid plan anymore?

    Ok, looks like they did fix it. Somewhat...

    My knowledge of how routing works on mobile networks is very limited. But what looks like what is happening is we are still able to access the hiptop apn, but it is just denying us web traffic. Gateway access to the internet is still working. So I found some random web proxy on the internet, and internet works fine through it, but very slow.

    So, gonna set up my own personal proxy and see how it works.
