I'm using the screen protector and didn't notice any significant trouble. I had noted that it may require your face to be really close though because while talking over an extended period and occasionally shifting my posture, I notice that it will come on and go back off regularly like I'm pulling just slightly away and then back up to it again. Maybe the protector causes this??

Well, I kinda like the idea of the screen turning off if I've got the phone to my face. I have turned the auto dimming off though. It was too bright for me.

Picked mine up today. So far I love it, except I'm having issues syncing it up. I connect and and go through the wizard, AS comes up and says connected, then both AS on PC and Phone say "syncronizing" and it just sits there for a while and doesn't sync.

Anyone have this issue or any suggestions on how to go about fixing it.

I did the AS troubleshooting and it didn't give me any reason why it shouldn't be working

Skizz, turn off the "high speed" sync option on the phone in the ActiveSync tab (under settings) and see if it goes away. If it does then its a compatibility problem with your machine, but the lower-speed connection will work.

Well, after trying everything I could think of for 2 hours, I turned of my computer's firewall and that did it! So I just have to turn it off when I sync, which won't be too often, since I only do it for updating contacts.

thanks for the reply though!! Greatly appreciated.

I did have another question that I haven't had the time to read through the manual to try an answer myself.

Is there a way to lock the screen, so that you can see the homescreen, but can't manipulate (via touchscreen) anything?

Same here. A few years ago I tried to use one of those small feather-light cell phones. It was akward & never felt "right" when making a phone call. It was sorta like holding a box of Tic-Tacs up to my face.

I prefer something more substancial, and the TP2 "feels right" to me.

Hold down the phone's END key for a few seconds and it will vibrate, then jump to the Home screen. No buttons will work until you unlock the phone. This is especially useful for when you want to listen to music while it's in a pocket since you can't turn it off during music playback without stopping it.

When i do that, it goes to a screen with a number pad. It's locked, but no homescreen.

Did that and nothing changed Don't know what is up. I can lock the phone, by holding down the end key, I just can't get it to go to the home screen.

Do you have a myFaves plan? Mine switches to the TouchFlo interface and switches all the way back to the myFaves tab where I see my wallpaper. It locks there. It does this no matter which program I have open at the time I hold down the End key.

Nope. No My Favs. I set up a password under Start - Settings - Lock, and now when I hold down the end key, it locks, but only shows the keypad screen.
