Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on who has used this. Since I couldn't find a program like Ccleaner for the iPhone, I was thinking about purchasing iWipe from cydia. Just looking to help clean up any memory and make sure all my deleted files..are actually "deleted". Much thanks and if their is something better..please post it up
i don't really know if all the deleted files are deleted with this app, cause all it does everytime when i run this app, it will only fill up your free memory, then delete the space it filled up. In a way, this app work just like it say, but some people might say the app suck, cause it doesn't show you it progress.
Ah I see. Well, I went ahead and purchased it. After running it twice (which took a while)...it finally finished and said that all the free memory had been cleared or something to that extent. I would though, to find a program either on iTunes or Cydia that shows just how much "cr@p" was deleted, but still haven't found one yet.
at least this app only cost 2.99, some of the similar app that are actually in the apple app store cost around $7.....and it work just like this app...
This app is less about clearing up junk (actually, that's not what it does at all), but rather simply a security measure. As you know, "empty" space is not actually empty, but still contain data (possible private date). This program erases all the free space so that all is erased (for example, erased browser history, deleted contacts, etc.). It's a great app if you're thinking of selling your iPhone.
Sorry, haven't tried any, BUT, you've peaked my interest in searching for one!
Just for future reference, the word in bold should be "piqued".
Dictionary
pique |pēk|
noun
a feeling of irritation or resentment resulting from a slight, esp. to one's pride : he left in a fit of pique.
verb ( piques |pēks|, piqued |pēkt|, piquing |ˈpēki ng |)
1 [ trans. ] stimulate (interest or curiosity) : you have piqued my curiosity about the man.
2 ( be piqued) feel irritated or resentful : she was piqued by his curtness.
3 ( pique oneself) archaic pride oneself.
ORIGIN mid 16th cent.(denoting animosity between two or more people): from French piquer ‘prick, irritate.’
Not bored at all, now and then I just get sick and tired of reading butchered, truncated and punctuation-less sentences! The iphone does a pretty good job of hacking up sentences with the "auto-correct", I wish that dictionary was editable. Empowerment through vocabulary!
I know you've offered up a lot of good advice and I see you're from Mexico City, in the event that English is your second language I'll cut you some slack!!
Haha, actually, I'm from Canada but live and work here, and agree with you on some of the hacked grammar around here. Personally, I appreciate all the correction I get since I've been learning Spanish and still make a ton of mistakes - but, Piqued vs Peaked? While you are technically correct, about a 1/3 of the time, people are now using "peaked" - one could say that's bad grammar, or another could say the language is evolving and changing (as it always does - for example, a "cheque" is now commonly referred to as a "check"). English, especially American English, is losing a lot of its European spellings.
Most of us type in a hurry and aren't terribly anal about cleaning things up cause 1.it's not a spelling contest, and 2.we figure most everyone has brains enough to discern MEANING which is what it's about... what words signify.
