That's no surprise really. HipTop sales in the U.K. and Europe aren't even close to what they are in the U.S. so I'm sure that was the biggest single determining factor of the service termination. Danger is currently owned and operated by Microsoft. It definitely wouldn't have any issues maintaining the service if they felt it was worth while to do so.

I know some german, I believe Danger is stopping "service" to the sidekick on 31st December 2009. T-Mobile Germany is informing customers what their options are and they may have the option to terminate their plan.
