To go into bootloader mode with the rival you want to hold the "a" button and "enter/return" button on the keyboard, as well as the "previous/back" button on the front of the phone, then press the power button to power on.
do you happen to know what software I can Use to create a backup ofthe firmware, I have a Rush 1.29.15 however i was attempting to downgrade from 1.29.22 and thats what "brickeed" my phone, i have a second phone (my old one) that i have updated for the time If I can copy the software Ill be able to fix my new one and send the old one back, so far ive only heard of RSD lite, but that wont allow me to backup the phone just reflash it
You wont find any backup software for Motorola CDMA phones, it does not exist. The exception is the Smart-Clio box but it still is encrypted to your box's SN so exchanging backup bins is no good.
Trying the A45 .22 to .15 downgrade, does have very bad catastrophic effects. It does indeed BRICK your phone. The only way to revive it is to JTAG the unit. Even though I do have the BIN image, it is still easier (at present) to send it to Motorola under warranty. They have no way of knowing what was done and there is no cross carrier tracks, so while everybody's is still covered under their 1 year warranty, use it!
Here are some links for the A455 Verizon firmwares officially from Motorola:

I would love to get a hold of the Telus or Koodo Upgrade and/or Monsters if anyone has any of them, or if someone has access to the Canadian Software Approval Spreadsheet from Compass. I only have access to US carriers.
Thanks.
Strange thing, I've tried ##program (##7764726) SEND, but it tries to dial the number! This is a Telus-branded A455. Are they doing something differently, or am I messing up somehow?
