Is it showing on the wifi list? Have you dropped the phone recently?
Wifi has been working fine until a week ago and all the sudden there was no Wifi connectivity at all. I've tried resetting the network connection on the iPhone but no help at all.
I'm on firmware 3.0
Any help would be appreciate. Thank you!
No I havn't dropped my phone ever. It does not show on the wifi list. However, for some reason sometimes when I do a reset on the network it would show up but once i put a password in it, it says it does not work.
Do any other networks show up on your Wi-Fi list? If so, you probably just need to reset your router.
With that what kind of router is it?Originally Posted by Big C Style
wrt54g, it's not the router since I was able to connect my macbook and the ps3 on it.
what should we do from here? and once again thank you guys for all of your help!

Have you tried connecting your iPhone to OTHER Routers ? like.. public HotSpots [StarBucks, Hotels, Barnes & Noble etc] ..
I would try to reboot your Router at least to eliminate that rare possibility..
If your iPhone isn't connecting to other/public or private WLANs and rebooting the Router doesn't fix it either, I suggest.. the dreaded RESTORE and set up as NEW don't do it from a Backup!
Many people, including me, occasionally run into annoying issues with the WiFi on the 3GS.. A lot of us are hoping it's a software hiccup and will get fixed with the release of 3.1, whenever that happens!!
But, unfortunately.. it seems like a RESTORE as NEW is in order as a solution for you right now! '
Goodluck and keep us posted!

Tapped on my iPhone
i'd try a reset (hold power and home button until apple logo appears) before restoring. 2 minutes to try a reset might save an hour restoring.
I think I had the same issue. Restored the phone and all is well again.
I had this problem, I had to do a full reset the phone with holding power + home button. WiFi worked again.
I did the reset network settings also before that. Although it does soft reboot, this wasn't enough of a reset to get WiFi to work again. The full reset was necessary.
You can also try a power off/on.
If that doesn't work and neither does a clean restore, take it to Apple. I had WiFi die on an iPhone 3G and they replaced it as defective as even the genius couldn't get it to work.
