the address for sending sms to a phone with at&t is, yourphonenumber@txt.att.net

    ex: 814525XXXX@txt.att.net

If you have a WAP enabled phone the address for sending MMS is similar
    ex: 814525XXXX@mms.att.net

When sending text messages from an email account send it in PLAIN TEXT format. Rich text format could be multiple pages even for a short message and result in a charge for reading each page. You can set it in your email clients address book to always send plain text format to that email address.

    Jimates just told you that!

I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

to send an sms from another phone to your phone, they just send it to your phones phone number using their text message feature.
To send an sms message from an email client (their computer) they have to send it to an email address. The email address that will deliver it to your phone is your10digitnumber@txt.att.net

Thank you so much -- but

I was told by net10 customer service, this feature is not supported.

Can anybody tell me if anybody tested this feature? is it really working?

Yes it works. Use the addresses that Jim has given, and it should work just fine.

    it does work

Believe these guys, it DOES work. Most Tracfones and Net 10 phones have this feature, even if not officially supported by tracfone.

If tracfone said the feature was supported it would mean they might have to actually give some support for it, such as telling you how to do it or telling you what the address is for the phone. Since they say that particular feature isn't supported then they are off the hook.

send me your phone number in a PM and I will send you an email.

T-Mobile and Verizon are also carriers for Net10. Are you sure the phone is on At&t.

Here it is on the web if you need to read it for yourself.

    xxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net

replace xxxx with your 10 digit phone number

Nope, doesn't work. Just tried it.

Perhaps att is not the domain required for email-to-SMS messages on Net10 phones.

1234567890@txt.att.net does indeed work for Net10 phones on AT&T. Not all Net10 phones are on AT&T though.

What carrier is your phone on?

Go to whitepages.com and find the mobile carrier lookup link. On that page, you can type in your phone number and it will tell you what network your phone is using. I did it with my Net10 number in western mass. and AT&T came up as the carrier. Give it a try.
