When I try to sms to a 5-digit number or email address I always get "Failed to send!". Is this part of a premium service or am I doing something wrong? I have a Huawei M328.

if you're referring to sending an email via mms that can be done, but not sure with your model phone. if you have a camera then i know it will work.

No camera. It's a Huawei M328 and one of the phone options for an sms is "send to email address" but when I enter a valid address, I get "Failed to send!" EVERY TIME.

    Lightbulb

You can send texts to an email the only problem is the person that has the email address has to initiate the conversation then you will get a 4 digit short code starting with a 6 and you can reply to that code and it will deliver to the email address that sent you the text.

The phones email address is [PHONE NUMBER]@mymetropcs.com

The message should be sent in plain text.

You can attach sounds (wav, mid, mp3), pictures (jpg, gif, png), and if your phone supports it 3gp videos as well, as long as the message does not total something like 300kb and if you have a phone that supports picture (mms) messaging it will be delivered as one.

    Hope this helps!

I have the Samsung Finesse, and I can text to someone using their email address. When they reply, then I get the short code.
