Net10 - New airtime card & no more sms announcements

Got a text on my Net10 phone today. They now have a 200 minute card for $30. Includes 30 days of service. Available online or by calling only.

Received an email from them telling me that effective Sept. 1st they will no longer be sending sms announcements with offers to their phones.

Might there be a typo in there somewhere? A 200-minute card at $30 would come to .15˘ per minute. Who'd go for that instead of the $30, 300-minute, 60-day card?

I went to their site to check it out, but it's down for maintenance right now.

Net15? Yeah right. Raising prices during these times is a sure way to P*** off and lose your customers. This is stupid. Oh wait, America Movil making stupid decision? Oops, forgot their history.

Now only if you would get 90 days of sercive for 20 bucks ... but net10 is for those that talk or text more. 20 for 200 is a great price with net10 alot better I guess then 60/120 for $20 with TF ... but you can always make up for that with promo's when you have them. This makes me want to go ahead and order the new moto phone with net10 and also get a 200 minute card!

This card deviates from the usual ratio of 30 days per 150 minutes most all Net10 cards are based on. The three larger minute cards do this also.

Boy, they are taking advantage of these final days for sending me text alerts. I get at least 2 a day now.
