Hey Jim, I checked with them and none of them had even heard of it and didnt offer to even get me one after checking.
So I went were I did, maybe now they have them.
One thing funny though, when I told the guy it was the replacement for the 8360 he told me it would require a data plan, this was at the New Bern store.
It would make sense that Verizon limit these to select retailers. The problem for them is if they require a data plan, the phone won't sell at all.
A phone is only fun when you can modify it anyway you please.
The Verizon UI....unhackable? I think not
Last Thursday night I charged up the battery and turned the phone on (stabdby) at 9am Friday.
It's just been on standby since then, and today the battery went from 4 bars to 3 bars. So that's 4 days to go down 1 bar with it on in standby. I'm interested to see how long until the battery dies.

Just thought I'd add that Verizon now lists the VX-8360 as "Data Plan Optional", so apparently they are desperate to get rid of them, and perhaps they are rethinking mandatory data on simple flip phones. This probably also is why so many have gotten the 8370 without data plans.
Been 11 days now with the phone on Standby and it just went down to 1 battery bar.
Hopefully it will be for sale on the web site soon, now that the support info has shown up...

The VX8360 has now disappeared from the Verizon website, another good sign for the Clout to hopefully appear soon.
Battery finally died a few hours ago.
So with the phone powered on in standby mode (without any talk time) it got 16 days. Not too bad, though the specs say the phone should get 27 days of standby (which I've never seen any phone get that much).
My Motorola V9m (with the extended battery) can only get about 8-9 day of standby without any usage.
I see these are offered at my local Walmart. I'm down to either the Clout or the Samsung Convoy. Are there opinions on which is the better phone. Important to me are: call quality, speaker quality, texting, size, build quality, looks. I already know that I prefer the Clout's size and looks. Looking for help in the other areas. Thanks.
Tweedle, I've had the Convoy. Get the Clout. The Convoy is a bit bulky where the Clout is thin. The speakers on the Clout are superior to the Convoy.
If I were a contractor on a construction site then I'd favor the Convoy due to its rugged construction. But all things considered, The LG Clout, is a lightweight, powerful phone. Had mine since July. Best flip ever!
