It seems like some people have used bitpim to get ringers off their phones. I downloaded it and tried it tonight because I want the "Ringtone 3" ringer off my old Chocolate 3 (I dont like any of the ringers on the Cosmos...i don't know why they got rid of this one and kept some of the others). Anyhow, none of the default ringtones showed up in bitpim. Is my only option to get a copy of the program mentioned in the first post here to pull it off?

I want the old Leichte Kavallerie Overture ringtone as used in the VX3300 and possibly other LG phones circa 2004 or 2005.

Sorry to necromance the thread, but I just traded my LG VX5500 for the Samsung Zeal. I would like the "Funky Band" default ringer, since it's my Mom's tune and we both like it. I've tried to pull it with BitPim, which I've used for the last 2 years, but it's not 'seeing' anymore than 1 DL tone. I deleated all the DL tones, and now it's not seeing any sounds at all. I also tried the other program suggested in this thred, with no success.

Is there any chance anyone might have it, or have any ideas on how else I might extract it?

It has much to do with how the ringer is encoded on the firmware
