user17601, is your WE Verizon branded?

Syncing the servicebooks in the OP didn't seem to enable MMS on my WE.. I don't see MMS Client etc in the service books menu in options, nor in the menu for pictures. (although i've never used MMS on a blackberry so it could be i'm just looking in the wrong place)

open messages, open menu, scroll list, if MMS shows there then it is there.
If you can not see MMS Client or MMS Transport in your Service Books, you didnt load the file properly. There are 11 books total in my Service Book.

I loaded it twice.... double checked I picked the right ipd.. it has 11 entires, etc. Doesn't show up either immediately or after battery pull. I'll give it another shot.

Might have something to do with a particular setup I have with the device..... I've refrained from posting it thus far out of fear VZW/PP will close it up, but I feel kinda greedy keeping it to myself so I might just have to change that.

Very strange. Tried it a few more times with the same result. Immediately after transferring, only 5 of the 11 records show up on my BB and on the device side of BBDM (Provisioning, ICQ, AIM, Blackberry Maps, Email). I know something is happening, tho, as my old service books contained 11 records and were thus obviously overwritten.

Are servicebooks OS specific? I am on OS 4.5.0.169.

they wont/cant do much about this. anyhow, what is your model? You must enable legacy mode ((ALT SBEB) on the Pearl, you have to press the S key twice). If you do not see a small popup saying legacy enabled then your not getting it right. I still need to know the model to help you further.

I'm on the 8830 WE. Legacy mode is enabled, and I had no issues syncing the standard anworm servicebooks.

edit: woops, looks like legacy mode doesn't 'stick'. I enabled it again and had no issues. I feel really dumb now!

The setup I have isn't related to service book hacking... I'll PM you.

You have to enable it each time you connect your device

    Okay, thanks for the tip

With the MMS service books synced over, I can send MMS and the person receives them fine.... however I tried sending one to myself and didn't get anything back, and I got a friend to send me something and got nothing there as well.

Can you receive as well as send?

I can send but it seems as if I am not receiving. I tried sending via PC to telephonenumber@mypixmessages.com and I never received it. So it looks like we wont be receiving them (fine with me, saves my data for more important things)

Thanks for the suggestion of minimoni, user17601. That should be perfect for keeping track. And pc-tech101, thanks for the info re: your usage of google maps. I've checked my account online and it looks like I haven't used much. Of course, that could just be Verizon's lag in reporting usage to Page Plus.

Here is what you can expect to get working with this service book:

    Blackberry Maps
    Blackberry Browser

Okay, I have taken the latest MMS books and combined with anworms books. Try these and see if MMS works.

Sorry if it has been asked before but I have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find a method to combine service books. How exactly can this be done? Thx in advance.
