This new blue dot/circle status icon came on last night. I have changed any new setting or installed any new program. It's the first time I've seen it come on. It's not listed on the Apple support site either.

To the OP, is it possible you have insomnia installed? It has a blue circle icon with a face in it. I can barely see the pic that's posted.

Nope never heard of the app. It's just a small little blue dot. I think it started when I received my first MMS.

its def a jb app. do you have status notify or anything like that? if so its i might be unread mms?

Not mms, I just sent myself one and it is the same as the sms unfortunately. Might want to google it, I found another forum where I was able to actually get mms working, hofo is great but not the only source.
