    Cricket Broadband PC speedup guide

Here is a quick tidbit to speed up your broadband speeds.

I have only tested this on one. Please comment if this procedure works for you.

    1. Have broadband installed.
Check speed before changes. Mine was at 241kbps
    2. Open network connections
    3. right click "cricket broadband" connection under Dial-up
    4. click properties
    5. click configure
    6. under maximum speed drop down menu set to highest setting.
7 Enjoy a little bit more bandwidth
Check speed after changes. Mine is now 930kbps

    Sweet, thanks for the info!

But... I may not be able to test it for another couple weeks. I hit the stupid 5 GB limit on usage this month, so my speed is now CRIPPLED... I'm only getting about 100 kbps. And I have to put up with this pathetic speed until the middle of October... my billing period ends on the 14th or 15th of the month!

And yet you never bothered to share that information with us.

So if your looking to make yourself seem more important then go ahead. Since you seem to be the only person on here that was the first person to know this information.

Next time you should post this guide just like everyone else that post threads to help others that dont know this information.

It worked great for me. I tested before and after and noticed a difference. The weather here is really crappy so no matter what I do the speed isn't great but I really do appreciate the information.
    Thanks
    Pam
