This sticky was originally reserved for the first posted pictures in this forum of a member owned, production release N900.
Since Nokia has released pre-production N900's to journalists and bloggers who attended the annual Maemo summit many pictures and "unboxings" have been posted. Additional production based DDP units are in the pipe. What is also relevant is that some of these journalists, bloggers, and developers are also long time members of HoFo so this thread as it was originally intended, may no longer be needed.
Instead I will continue to post an (almost) daily update of relevant N900 and Maemo information in this thread and I have changed the thread title to reflect this.
As our friends over at http://maemo.org/ are found of saying... "Feel free" to use any information or images found here to support your posts in the forum.

I almost forgot... I think I linked to this the other day somewhere else when there were only two or three apps listed for download. It seems to have grown some...
Download Ovi Maps to your N900 for use without a network connection.
Unlike Navicore/Wayfinder on previous Maemo devices, Ovi Maps on the N900 downloads maps on demand. This is obviously a problem if you're going somewhere abroad and don't want to pay extortionate data roaming charges.
Fortunately, S60 Ovi Maps users also have the same problem, and the solution is straightforward:
