    major lesson for me :

the difference between the latest n97 builds vs the early production is like night and day . the build quality, the reception , the os & overal speed is vastly improved.

What happened to the N95 is SOOOOOO much better than the N97?

Could you be any more more bipolar?

It turns out i had gotten a really bad n97, when I got it exchanged/repaired or whatever from nokia repair, I actually got to use what it meant for - and by this time August, the software and the ovi store has caught up to my thirst for apps and 'cool'ness.

I was just pondering this very point. I had a 1st production N97 but sold it because of the flash floooding and screeching noise when the unit vibrated.

Have the new production N97's been fixed? IE - flash flood, scratched lens, screeching vibration noise? If that's the case I may buy another N97.

    Thanks

Does your hardware have the flash flood problem or when you unlock the phone, does the vibration sound like a screech? I don't think Nokia has fixed the hardware issues yet

But the updated software sure is tempting me to get an N97 again.. haha
