    alas, i can't

on new acts we have room as we can set the pricing based on commissions
That's what I figured but it doesn't hurt to ask!

I just got a black one from Future Shop, bought outright for $399. I assume they have the lavender too because the sales rep had one for the show model. I thought it was too femmy, I like the sleek look of the black.

I knew of the lack of a camera flash and 3G, but I am moving up from a Pearl 8120 which is such a big step to a larger screen and much faster and more memory so I am loving it. Also the OS is slightly improved over the Pearl's OS... better UI and usability improvements here and there. Only thing is there are practically no themes available.

The 8520 is a pretty neat entry-level BB actually. The only downside IMO is the display. QVGA is just so grainy and looks so outdated. If they left the 480x360 display in there it would be awesome.

    That $50 comes with:
    1. Rogers 1 year warranty, or 2 or more years if purchased on a Credit Card with extended warranty
    2. Rogers UMA support
    3. 15 day/30 minute return policy
    4. Don't have to deal with Tiger Direct.

I played with my buddy's 8520 today... I LOVED the trackpad. Wow, seriously after going back to the trackball I was cringing .... it's very sleek and accurate. Definitely a winner... can't wait for the 9700 on this regard...
As for the rest of this phone... I don't get that this is a Blackberry even it seems like such a disgrace to the brand... The back cover design is so lame borderline ugly IMO... and the display... ekh... you can actually count the pixels on it one by one hahaha... but I guess at 99$ you can't go wrong eh...

I don't know if this is true or not, but i just heard that 8520 has some serious issues and they will be discontinuing it............hence why they are selling for cheap............Tigerdirect has it for $329.............and also does this phone have wifi and 3G................

    Thanks..........

It's cheap because it's an entry-level Blackberry... It has WiFi but no 3G
