I have had this Env touch and have researched extensively on it and have found this to be an exceptional well phone despite some of the bugs. On my phone I have found that the screen during charging has went black and wouldn't turn on when I would press any keys, then another time it did this, then just as of today did it again but turned on but when i pressed the keys again the phone froze... All required me to take the battery out physically to shut off the phone. Anyone have any ideas? Yeah and the batter life sucks ***. :/ Thanks for any help!
I think what you said was that the phone shuts off when you charge it??? Mine does that too when I try to charge it using the wall charger and it's turned on. It's not 100% consistent, but it's frustrating when it happens.
I thought that this only happened on my phone when an incoming event occured while charging my phone. For example, when charging and I receive a text message, the phone exhibits the same behavior you mentioned. However, when I open the phone, everything looks fine, and funtions properly until I want to go back (using the CLR button), and then the internal screen freezes.
I am going to take it to Verizon, and hopefully have it in this state so they can see my dilemma, since if they don't see it, they don't believe it.
I had the same problem and my daughter does as well, mine also resets all my wallpapers and settings except for ringtones when I power it off. I took our phones to the store and they updated the software...I haven't tried to charge them yet but I will let you know in the morning after I charge it. I hope it works because it is very frustrating.
