Battery Life on 6.1

My battery life seemed a bit less the first day or two with Donut but in all fairness, I was also playing with the phone a little extra. But after running the battery all the way down and giving it a full charge, my battery life now seems better than it had been. Be aware, however, I am using the Seidio 1400mAh battery and the packaging claims that battery life increases after 5-6 full charges and this was probably the 3rd or 4th full charge.

I too have the seidio 1400 mah batt. It seemed great the 1st couple weeks I had it but then started to peeter off since then. Now I'm wondering if my battery issues aren't from 1.6 but the seidio battery....
I ordered the docking station that charges another g1 battery so I could switch between the stocker & the seidio....
other than the 1.6 update no changes have been made to any of the settings on my g1....I'm going to do a back to back comparison on the seidio & the 1 yr old factory battery when i get the charging dock...

My battery life is terrible now too. However, I also noticed that pressing the red button no loner turns off the display light. In addition, Ihave turn off st 25 seconds but it doesn't turn off until more like 30 or more seconds.

I have had my red end call button set for "sleep mode" (black screen) for as long as it was an option so that hasnt changed 4 me.....unless u have a spec app 4 sooner screen timeout the lowest is 30 seconds (fact setting).....I dumped a few recent apps on a whim & noticed a slight battery increase....not sure if my problem is 1.6 or certain apps just yet...... crazy having to really roll thru the diagnostics at this point in the android OS...ya know?

I've had mine for probably 3 weeks now - so far it's lasting significantly longer than the stock battery. If you haven't, definitely let the battery drain and give it a full charge. Like I said, 1.6 seemed harder on the battery until I did this and now it's lasting longer than it did on 1.5.

I seemed to have developed a new quirk. 3-4 days ago I let it drain to 2% and then charged overnight. Then after using it for 15 minutes, it was still showing 100% charge (it normally starts dropping right away). I cycled power and then it started acting normally. Now I have to do this every morning. Rebooting is not a bad thing, but it's puzzling why this is happening.

i did do that initially per the instructions that came with the seidio battery. the 1st two charges i used the phone normally during the day & then really loaded the battery hard in the evening untill it died on its own then fully charged again while the power was off the entire night. the 1st week or two there was a noticeable battery life improvement over the factory g1 battery.... the seidio battery seemed to have factory battery charateristics right before my 1.6 update & after the update i really noticed a drop in performance. i was getting the feeling that this "1400mah" battery was only designed to have good performance for a couple weeks then slowly die out.... ill let the battery die out totally again twice then recharge & see if i can recapture that gain i noticed initially.
