I just wanted to point out something on the calender that i noticed..
If you look at the 22nd the words are in red just like the 30th except it says Windows 7 release date. That has already been confirmed by microsoft that windows 7 is releasing on the 22nd. So that in itself would lead me to believe that the Oct 30 date where sholes is mention could be the actual release date. Be it online or in-store or both.
But thats just me looking at color codes
how bout we not talk about the release date anymore lol.. its going to be OCT 30th OK???????? stop trying to determine things that we already determined.. it was the same with the HTC Imagio, that came true to. Il be here.. dont worry.. just a few more weeks.
If you havent seen this than its not ur fault, but we dont need any more proof that it will be out in OCT.. plenty of reps by verizon has said it will be out in a couple weeks.
Oh im so sorry for posting. I didnt realize that throwing out my thoughts on the subject were going to pain you so much.
@viper1549 How can i ever make it up to you? *&$%
This thread was created to avoid posts JUST like these. If you have nothing constructive to add to what's already provided in the first post, don't. There's no reason to add more speculation about the release date, it's already known that it will be the 30th or the 1st of December. The calendar has been available for a while now, the colors have been discussed in-depth in the other thread...so unless you know of a new date with proof to back it up, don't keep discussing it.
@bill The builds of 2.0 I have seen (non-Moto device) show a much improved UI. 2.0 was branched off of the 1.5 build, so the pictures that leaked show 2.0, but the UI is still the 1.5 UI simply because work hadn't begun on the UI aspects of it (it's usually the last thing to be done). The device I have seen is a "Google" device so I don't think the UI is something created by the party making that device. Who knows though, maybe the 2.0 branch has multiple branches, one that's pure and minimalistic, just how Google likes it, and one that's more hip and "with it," for phones like the Morrison (the "teen" Android device). In any case, only time will tell.
That's a strange keyboard layout. Does any other phone have a space bar between the V and B keys and the B/N/M keys misaligned like that? (edit: actually the whole bottom row is misaligned) Does anyone have experience with a keyboard layout like this?
Another edit: also a blank key to the left of Z? really?
The recent Nokia phone N900 is worse, it has the space bar offset to the right, at least sholes puts it in the center.

Okay so the keyboard does not look like that. That's another question down. Event though I'm sure that was answered before by bill. My guess is it doesn't like as crappy and is more like the Cliq. So let's just all assume that since Moto isn't stupid.
Different core. Think of it like using the same motherboard but with a different processor and graphics card. Think of the OMAP 3430 as a socket LGA 775 motherboard and the iPhone is running a Celeron processor featuring integrated graphics, and the S/T/D will be running a high-clocked Core 2 Quad with a beastly graphics card. They're both running on the same exact board, but one setup is a beast while the other is 'blah'. Does that help a little bit?
The iPhone uses an 800 MHz processor underclocked to 600MHz, but the S/T/D will use a 600MHz processor PLUS a GPU. It'll be a beast compared to the iPhone, which can't even multitask.
Well, from what I know, the iPhone 3GS has the same GPU the STD has, though I don't know about the Pre (i *think* it does but developer's don't have access to it because the SDK is pretty limited). So basically, yeah they all have the same hardware. Only problem is the STD has over twice the amount of pixels on screen so it may actually be *slower*

It is not slower then a 3Gs from what I've heard from a few using it now. Secondly it is not setup the same way to begin with so it is not a fair comparison anyways.
Can anyone confirm the cool little joystick pad on the bottom right is still there. I am really looking forward to that. Much prefer to control the phone with that type of joypad. Thanks!

I can't confirm it but I know it has been all the pictures I've seen of the keyboard so far so I think there's a pretty good chance that it's on there.
