so...has anyone heard of any hard cases? Similiar to the iphone's?
I would think those would be hard to develop, since case makers don't have phones yet. At least I assume they have to wait like the rest of us common folk?
I would also be interested in quality screen protectors, since some of the iPhone screen protectors available these days are of excellent quality and are worth every penny.
General question - does anyone know anything about the audio hardware? I'm curious what kind of playback quality we might be able to expect. Is the audio comparable to an iPod/Zune, or is it clearly ahead/behind?
I actually just noticed something...I bought my phone during a "pre-release" period for the Touch Pro 2. On my receipt it shows that I bought a "Ozone 2." On another receipt (bought after it was released), the phone correctly shows as a "Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2." Called up my Verizon buddy, turns out a lot of pre-release phones are labeled as another phone a week or so before release while bugs are ironed out and to make sure not too many sales are made in case something changes or while inventory is being acquired/shipped. Just a heads up for the coming weeks...have your Verizon pals check the inventory for "new" phones Might be able to snag one a few days or a week early!
Also counting the days. I have until November 10th to return my Alias 2 and pay the difference between that and the Droid's 2-Year pricing (which is hopefully around $199)!

I believe the only "accessory" that's really been seen is a battery cover. Hard cases and other things such as that probably won't start popping up until the product has been finalized and officially announced to the public. Just my opinion on it i suppose.
Is Verizon requiring people to be on Nationwide plans in order to get this (or any other smartphone for that matter)? The reason I'm concerned is that I am one of the people waiting by a phone or computer to order the second it comes out, and I'm worried that I'll have a problem upgrading to NW because of my 6 lines...

The only restriction is the requirement of the $30 or $45 data addon. Aside from that, you're allowed to order it for any plan/package (some may require you to may full price vs NE2/yearly).
This linked "review" is a copy and paste job. You will find "extremely similar" text on the very first page of this thread.
(this is more for anyone else who might respond to it than yourself...but now you know as well)
Not to mention that they have Droid and Sholes as two different devices, using the render image for the Sholes and the leaked screen images as the Droid.
Very nice, the actual Donut arrived at Googleplex September 10th, 2009 (http://bit.ly/Mdh2X) and Donut was released OTA October 1st, 2009 (http://bit.ly/ME3Wf).
I don't know what that means but hopefully we will see STD soon!!
I just read Engadget's review of the CLIQ/DEXT. Overall they seemed to like it, but the biggest problem I saw was that the said the capacitive screen felt more like it was resistive. Very odd.
Edit: Also that the reception was basically the same as the myTouch3G. Hopefully the Sholes corrects those problems...
