How is the Sound Quality of MP3's on the Sidekick LX2009 Compared to the:

Ipod Video, Classic and Nano

Is it good enough as a Stand Alone MP3 Player?

Through headphones it is ok. Not great but decent.

As a stand alone player though, probably not. Mainly because of the battery life. If you actually use the phone like it is supposed to, meaning you text, e-mail, and IM then you wil lbe lucky if the phone lasts the day normally.

The MP3 player will drain it quite quickly. When I would use it sparingly (like in a waiting room or whatever) my phone went from about a day of use to roughly 6 hours. I couldn't make it through the work day.

The quality is best decided by those wanting to use it for that reason. Personally, no mobile phone with an mp3 player lives up to the quality of my Zune, Sennheiser HD555's, and 320kbps constant bitrate when on the go.
