    If the dash is really faster, I could watch youtube HD without buffering, buffering, buffering....
    Well, I don't think the Dash 3G will be much faster via the bluetooth connection, because the bluetooth has an upper limit transfer rate that prevents you from getting the full benefit to HSPA that the Dash might connect at. However, the Dash will permit connection via wifi to your other device. Thus you could connect via wifi to the tablet and you should be good to go. It sounds like the tablet doesn't have dial up networking or personal area networking installed. Good job on figuring out how to tether via the laptop.

    Yeah, but there is a little bug believe it or not! I could turn the dash into a wireless router BUT, the tablet as of today doesn't suppor Ad Hoc network :S , I've send them an request since I think this is just a firmware and not hardware update right? The tablet does support 802.11b-g and N, but not ad hoc, witch is exactly how the dash would work.

    You have to download and install Sony Ericsson PC Suite onto your notebook.

    Because T-Mobile blocked USB tethering out of the box, you'll have to use a2uploader to change the setting on the phone.

    I give some information on how to do this in post #43 of the Equinox debranding thread.

    But basically, you have to edit a file called customize.xml in notepad. You change this section so that enabled says false instead of true:

    <apn-restriction>
    <enabled>false</enabled>

    Then you save the file, copy it to the phone with a2uploader. Do a reset settings on the phone. And the tethering restriction should be gone.

    Using this customize.xml file might require changes to the customize.xml again in order to get full-size MMS downloads.

    Which changes would you make to the customize.xml file to get full-size MMS downloads?

    Can someone help me please? I've been trying to customize my menus for my Sony Ericsson Equinox. I have the A2uploader and all the files i need, i'm just having issues accessing the File System for my phone. Is there a step i'm missing? Do i have to de-brand my phone in order to customize the menu?

    You'll need to be more specific about what you mean by "having issues". Try to list out the steps you're doing with a2uploader and what response or messages that you're getting from the software, what you're seeing on the screen or not seeing, etc.

    I follow the usual steps of turning off my phone, pressing c before plugging the usb into my phone and the program only gets to this point..

    PHONE STATE: "RETAIL"
    FLASH CID: 0053
    Elapsed:11 secs.

    than nothing happens... should I use the firmware from T707 or something of that nature. Does the A2upload program work with the TM717? I uploaded the drivers and everything. should i wait longer? how long should I wait?
