Is stock customize.xml file will have T-mobile menu. If yes, I need that file.
Actually, the menu is contained in the menu.ml file. I have the original menu file too, but I modified it because I didn't like T-Mobile's version and I wanted the stock Sony Ericsson menu instead. I don't know what options you receive from going back to the T-Mobile version as everything should be accessible through the new menu.
It's been so long since I did the modification, I can't remember if the old menu.ml will work perfectly with the new customize.xml, but you're welcome to try. I'll see if I can post the menu file for you.
Dkay, my last 717 is lost in the woods, so got another one. Now instead of getting all that stuff to change, I just would like to flash it to 707 firmware. What flash program do I need to do that? Any help would be appreciated. TIA
T707 firmware will not give you access to GPS (as it wasn't a T707 feature) among other things.
Following the steps in the wiki doesn't require any changes. You download the files. Use a2uploader to drag and drop them on the phone. Do a reset and you're done.
When creating the menu, I took an actual T707 menu and then edited in the TM717 features so that both would be on the phone. But the work's already done.
If you have any questions or need any specific changes, let me know. But the works already done. Here's the steps:
Thanks, but I can't find the link for the customize.xlm file. The old one doesn't work anymore. But I don't use the GPS on the phone and I have a Garmin 760 with a bigger screen.

The downlink to the files is right on the wiki.
You can flash T707 files onto the phone by going through a paid site like the davinciteam.com. Costs about $15.
