OK so somone tell me if my theory would'nt make sense i'm not sure why it would'nt???
on the 6th go into the verizon store port my PP # over to verizon and get the new phone for 200$ then go home and port it to page plus verizon mails me a bill for 175$ etf and 1 day of service 3$ and my work gets me a discount where I get no activation fee's for verizon.
so in theory 200+175+3= 378$ compared to 600$ retail or whatever??????
is this correct and the smartest way to do it or will verizon charge me for the entire month of service even if i only use it for one day??? because when i canceled att today they said it was prorated if i canceled today i didnt have to pay the rest of my bill cycle i quit paying today.
I've been thinking about the same also, except if you cancel on day 1, you'd be expected to either return the equipment or pay full retail.
So, you'd have to keep service for at least 30 days. This gest you closer to $480. It's still a good deal, if you're willing to pay that much.
However, do you really think that phone is worth that much? For that kind of money, you can probably get two older CDMA Android devices.
Unless it states that in the contract I really dont see how they can charge you full retail when in the contract i believe it would just say 175 if our end was not fullfilled.......
and what 2 older cdma android phones that work with verizon/pageplus?????
You would need to be signed on for the whole buyers remorse/return period. Typically 14 days i think. I'm not sure they prorate the last month. I think they would though. I'd just wait for the prices to drop. The android phones don't hold their value like the iPhones. After a couple months you should be able to pick one up $300 or less.

well thats pretty wild you got to stay throughout the buyers remorse period ill have to look up all that on the terms

I may be wrong, but this is what i was told/found out when i looked into doing something similar a little while back. i'd definitely read the fine print of the contract though when you sign.
Open the account, get the Droid, do an ESN change for that new # back onto your old PPC phone, put the Droid on PPC. Stay for 14 days, cancel. Verizon gets their 14 days, you get your Droid on your PPC line immediately, with a simple ESN change.
It's actually 30 days with VZW, not 14. The only turd that only gives you 14 is T-Mobile. Guess they hope you don't notice what a joke they are for those first two weeks.

Doesn't Verizon automatically cancel as soon as you port the phone to ppc?
There are no credit repercussions for ending a contract early. The contract states you're allowed to do it, you just have to pay a fee. Assuming you do that, you have fulfilled the terms of the contract.. No harm done.

i know i dont see how you can get in trouble or billed more for canceling after 1 day lol
