I heard Straight Talk does not allow EV-DO data, hence why they can have unlimited usage. Perhaps someone else can confirm this.
PagePlus might allow it, but the 20 MB data plan doesn't seem like enough for a phone like that.

Is it possible? ST in particular since they offer unlimited data. As anyone successfully activated a smartphone of the Droid's caliber on either of those services?

A phone is only fun when you can modify it anyway you please.
The Verizon UI....unhackable? I think not
Ah, thats the catch. and your right about PagePlus, an Android phone would eat through 20 megs in no time. I'm gonna get the Droid anyway, but I just wanted to know if I had any alternative options.
I've been wondering this exact question, I'm about to switch to pageplus and if I can get 2g with a droid I'll buy it and use that as my pageplus phone. Anyone out there used Android on PP or ST?
Sorry dude, a little new here, thanks for the link.Originally Posted by nalioth

This is my first post, just testing!!
Good luck getting their crappy data plans to work with a droid. I have activated a few HTC's on both page plus and Straight Talk, talk and text work fine, data was almost nonexistant, and not nearly enough to use any of the features that make these android phones cool.
Ok, so from what Ive gathered... i can usa the droid with straight talk with no problem with talk and text but barely when it comes to data... will i need a sim cutter or will it fit at the size it already is?
