Ok so I'm a total lurker here but I had to break the silence to let anyone who's been waiting for the moment to drop to know that telesales has the moment IN STOCK now starting about 2 hours ago! as you know its 279.99 with 100 MIR w/ 2 yr agreement tell (tell them to add SUP50 to get a $50 dollar credit on your bill as well) I just swapped out my hero for one since it was still under 30 days. Rep told me it should be here saturday or monday, I'm hoping for saturday! Good bye virtual keyboard! All of you waiting get your orders in now!
Can anyone else confirm the SUP50 code works?
its probably a YMMV type thing... I told him my corporate discount offers it online through "SAVE50" and he said he could do it through telesales with the sup50 code, if it doesn't work just call back and play the sprint rep game
i just tried to order. they said not available.
I don't think the site is ready yet.

If you fail with one rep just try and try again, I lucked out it only took 3 tries last night. BTW I called in a the sero telesales line
went to the sprint store today and they JUST setup it on display not 5 minutes before I got there... was informed it was on sale as well... definitely (noticeably) faster than the Hero, but for some reason the videos on youtube would not go 100% full screen like on the hero... not sure what the deal is there, to be honest... will probably be my next phone... I guess I can live with a 3.2MP camera w/ flash, lol...

Mine is out for delivery. Upgraded my girlfriend yesterday. We're both coming from Blackberry 8330s. So far in playing with hers, it looks like a nice phone. The keyboard is good, the OS doesnt appear to lag terribly.. there are a few things I wish were different but hopefully an OS upgrade will take care of some of that stuff.
I picked one up at Best Buy yesterday. Definitely lags when using the keyboard and the battery life is bad. It is down 40% just sitting on my desk by noon.Originally Posted by MadFlava
Yea.. I got mine today. The keyboard does lag some. I can live with that, they'll fix it in an update. The battery life is pretty bad. This thing is going to need to be tethered with a charger all the time. Again, tho.. I can live with it. Hopefully there will be some higher capacity batteries for it before too long.
The battery is always funky the first few days... you need to properly do the charging/decharging process in order to have a real feel for how the battery life will be.Originally Posted by tobenning
Also if you have widgets that are always updating and accessing the internet then your battery life will get sucked so fast. IE a messenger app or a stock market tracker app will suck your battery life because it is continuously going on the net even when not being used.
hopefully that will help out your battery problem.
Yeah, the Moment is currently the android phone with the longest battery life. So i guess android isn't for you if you can't deal with the Moment. G1, Cliq, MT3G, Hero and Droid are all going to be worse.Originally Posted by tobenning
If you want good battery life and a boring phone go for an e71 or e63Those last FOREVER!

Anyone else having issues with the GPS? Mine will not work whatsoever, im wondering if im doing something wrong? It will not find my location in google maps, or sprint nav.... It just worked on my hero, I don't remember having to enable anything, and even if i did I can't find any options about it on the moment. I've made sure location based services was enabled too.
The battery was better today. It doesn't make sense to not have a messaging app running like SMS/MMS. I have Gmail, comcast and dotmac email too. To me, that isn't really pushing the battery. I must admit, it definitely held better today. I am only testing out Sprint for a month to see what Android phones are like. I like them a lot and will get one for real next Summer when 3 of my Verizon lines come off contract.Originally Posted by jimmyjam_85
The keyboard is nice but sometimes feels like I could snap it in the middle, but I'm sure I can't.
Great upside, I must admit.
