The background is only like twice (Approx) as wide as the display and it only moves over a small amount.
That's what I said earlier, I just wasn't too sure on the dimensions. Does anyone have a confirmed wallpaper size for the Droid? I guessed 854(h) x 960(w), but I could be wrong.
Hmmm...if it's going to crop images like that it might be worth using HD wallpaper just to keep the image quality high for when it zooms in on the image.
OK, so here's what you end up with, I used the horizon as an example.
NOTE: I down sized the images for posting purposes but I did use the Droid res in the sdk.
When you select the image for a wallpaper, it goes to a crop screen.
And you end up with something like this. (this image shows all three home screens)
It looks basically the same in landscape mode too.
Excellent! Beautiful image.
If it's not too much to ask, can you try it with this classic image?

im still a little confused on how you get 3 different wallpapers such as 3 hockey team logos from 3 different pics or somthing on each pane of it....and if it was a longer image like a hot girl or somthin how would it look when the keyboard is out?
That grey wall background will be the first thing I change when I get my droid. I absolutely hate it and it doesn't show off how nice the screen is at all.
I had & lost the link to the SDK, i've read so much in the last (2) days, my head is going to explode
I see my concept was correct but, my dimensions were off, approx double wide NOT triple wide, and each screen in the menu is an overlap, main screen takes 1/2 in the middle left and right use the left & right halves
looks like it uses a square that is 854 on all sides
