do you not see all the compression artifacts? no offense, i know doing this takes time, but that picture looks like doo-doo.... maybe it would look better if you started with the original image instead of photoshopping a photoshop... also, try working with PNG instead of JPG.

First off - no offense taken - I would be stupid to turn down help/info....
I just noticed that they need to be in PNG format - my bad. Yes I saw the artifacts but they probably won't show up on the Droid - at least I hope not...
Just messing around - I will try to make up for it by contributing some better backgrounds over the next few days....
hmmm, sounds like the actual wallpaper size is 959x854, with the center line of resolution being shared.... or would that be 958? its late and my brain hurts.
EDIT: tried 958, with 479 on each.... i still get the left bleeding 1px on the right side... and this is in the emulator.... weird.
Maybe its just a problem with the emulator? We can only hope as this will be majorly annoying ;/
I've tryed both 960 and 958 as well, and both leak a pixel on the right screen. I'm going to try 959 overall width with both colors at 479 and a third color @ 1px in the middle, and see what happens. Will report back~
if someone has the phone, we could send it to them and see if it's just the emulator. or we can just wait till friday.
1px in the middle should work, and if it was black it would blend into the border, as long as it doesnt mess up the flow of the wallpaper on the center screen.
I made some wallpapers, mainly cause I need something to do while I impatiently wait out the final few days until the Droid comes out.
First, some general "Nature"-y wallpapers. These will work with the weird divide because there's just vista and no real focus to the images:

(My fav animes are the movies Ghost in the Shell, and most anything by Miyazaki, like My Neighbor Totorro, and Porco Rosso, etc.)

so to anyone with the phone...what's the easiest way to load a wallpaper? browse to this page on the Droid then attempt to set as background or something? save these images on a PC then transfer them over?
