Keep WiFi active during sleep mode.

Is there a way to do this?

    Why would you want this?

When I unlock it goes back to WiFi instantly.

When you have your phone plugged into a power supply and it goes to sleep, wifi stays on.

What is the advantage of this? I can't really think of a reason to keep wifi active when the phone sleeps.
Seems like it is cool to have these in your sig?

Well if you are installing a largish app and you want to use wifi rather than your data connection you don't have to worry about the phone going to sleep, thus cutting off wifi.

Or just plug it in to a charger. If it's on a charger wifi stays active even when the phone is locked/standby.
Also any 3rd party external battery source such as mophie juice pack would keep the wifi active for the same reason.

Ya but if your downloading, or streaming something, it still converts to your 2g or 3g right? I stream audio all the time on wifi with the screen off. I had no Idea wifi turns off.
The 3g in my area must be working fine, because there is no gap in my steam.
