Boy, DO I FEEL STUPID! App store "restore"

My last 'puter died with all my app store records.

At the same time on the new 'puter I or iTunes managed to erase all my app store apps.

I shuffled my feet around for a couple days in worry.

I just got off the phone at Apple Computer, with Nicole and she instructed me to the ituns "Store>View my account to the purchase history to view my purchases. Whoa.

Then to make matters EVEN BETTER, at the app store, when I clicked on a purchased item, "Tiger Woods golf by EA" and it said $4.99. Stymied, as instructed, I clicked the $4.99 button and next, a password dialog popped up and after entering it, it proclaimed I'd already purchased the app and I could download it again for free!

    WELL I'M DOWNRIGHT PICKLED!!!

Even on a cloudy day sometimes the sun does shine on me!

Nods to Nicole at Apple Computer!!!

    Best,

    Andy

You can always re-download apps you've already paid for/downloaded.

    Isn't that common knowledge?

Well it is to me now! But when I saw the app store $ (not FREE) button, I had my doubts.

    Dear BoomerangToss/Andy,

Please reconsider the use of " 'puter ." It's possible "Andy" is a female name, and you are uncontrollably cute. But still. Please.

As well, I don't think you mean "pickled" unless the discovery charted in this thread made you "downright" drunk.

    Sincerely,

    An Interventionist

You have me wrong on both counts.

I did get a second thought last time I downloaded an previously bought app and kept looking for a statement. I knew Apple would remove the charge if they accidentally billed me but nothing so I was OK. But good to post it here as there will be always that someone who would be looking for the information...

I am looking for this information! I have a ton of paid for apps that I use to have on my 2G iPhone, after selling the phone, I thought I lost all my apps. I never knew you could go back and get them again for free, DAMN!

I got to do this on my newly acquired 3G!

Sir, I have been following your posts for quite awhile now...If
you can't respond in a dignified manner then shutup and let
someone else answer the question. You have a bad habit of
crucifying people here. God help us if we are less than perfect.
We are all here to learn and not listen to your crap. GOT IT !!!

GROW UP and stop with the surliness !!!

+1, however you only feed the trolls when you post things like this. Instead of giving the troll more to chew on, click the little white triangle outlined in red in the upper right hand corner of his post, and let the mods handle it.
