iPhone 3GS, this is one of the higher ups speeds I got... which is actually faster than my ADSL connection at home.

(I get slower speeds with servers that are closer to me like Montreal for some reason)

I only did one test. 2.66/1.19Mbps up/down. Which is also faster than my ADSL connection at home.

This is with 2 bars, Blackberry 9700, tethered to a Thinkpad x301, on the Bell network. Remember this is only a 3.6HSPA capable phone - low signal area (center of TD CanadaTrust tower - Bay St. Toronto)

With rogers I would be lucky to pull a ping of 1000+ms and .01Mbps. I can tell you - I am VERY happy!

ya know... this hspa+ network is awesome!!!.. i'm here at work on a night shift downloading torrents with my aircard..

downloaded a few movies/tvshows off some private trackers,

and was get a great sustained downoad speed.. minimum was 1.1MB/s up to 1.5Mb/s ... thats freakin outstanding! thats nearly as good as my shaw connection (which gets a sustained 1.8MB/s nearly every time)

i realize this an above average speed... at night with not much traffic on the towers, but still.. very neat for a mobile connection.

I think this is among the fastest speed I've seen achieved through a handheld device. I was using an iPhone 3Gs in the GVRD. Inside a building in a room with no windows.

In doors, Montreal. I'm near McGill Univ, so there must be a lot of college kids using data right now... A little on the slow side, but it's tolerable
