It works for me, eventually. I just keep pressing various combinations of holding down/pressing the shift, alt, and delete keys and eventually it will reboot.

I just tried this and found the best key combo seems to be holding the shift and Alt keys onn the left and hitting the delete key twice reboots the phone. I did it twice in a row with that method.

Nice. That method seems to work perfectly for me as well.

    forward button?

Is there a way to go forward one screen? Sometimes I hit the back button by mistake and can't figure out a way to go forward to where I was. I have to start the app all over again.

    thanks!

On the browser you can hit menu and then the forward button.

    forward?

I know there is a button on the menu in the browser, but I was wondering about within the main home screens or within like the music program, etc.

    DROID Evil Eye ??

Yesterday I was watching TV and glanced at my Droid and noticed some weirdness. The Droid evil eye was on the screen looking at me ... The keys at the bottom were lit up. It is the same eye that glows when the phone is booting up. I picked up the phone and tapped the power button. After about a second the eye went away and the phone went to the home screen. Not really sure what the hell that was about. It didn't appear that the phone rebooted and i haven't seen this issue again.

Anyone else experienced the evil eye ??

Sounds like Sauron was checking you out. You didn't happen to find a ring, did you?

    1) how to get to the clipboard or clear the clipboard after copying something
    2) how to copy the URL out of the address bar; e.g. to paste a link here on the forum.

Been trying to read as much as I can about this but I can't find anything. Thanks.
    Long press usually works or

Just like on a PC only instead of CTRL it's MENU

    MENU+X = cut
    MENU+C = copy
    MENU+V - paste

Works with Address bar URLs as well

Forward email - How to delete orginal sender name & address?

When forwarding an email is there a way to delete the original sender's name and email address from the message? I can do this with Outlook and Cox Webmail but can't find a way to accomplish the same thing with the Droid email editor.

In the Droid's email app, when you are forwarding a message, the original message can be deleted by clicking the X next to the words "Quoted text".

EDIT: oh, nevermind. That still leaves the original name/email of the forwarded email.

I feel kinda foolish asking this question here...but can anyone point me in the direction of where the USB settings is?

I know that there is a pulldown option when the usb is connected, but I had done something and now it only asks me whether I want to mount or not. I tried going through the setup, doing a search here in the thread, on google, and even went through the online manual and for the life of me I can't seem to find it anywhere :-T

sorry if the answer is overly simple and I cannot see it. thanks in advanced!

What USB settings are you looking for?

If you want a one-click option for mounting your SD card when you connect your Droid, get MountUSB from the Marketplace and put it on your home screen - connect your Droid and tap it once to mount, a second time to unmount. Only saves a pull down, but I like it.

The USB settings I am looking for is the one that has 3 options in it. I can't remember exactly what they said, but when I first hooked up my USB, it had 2 options, one to mount, and another one about sending data or something. It would ask me if I wanted to cancel or not, and if I pressed okay, it would send me to this USB settings. I had turned one of the 3 options off and now I do not know how else to get back there.

    Thank you for helping!
