The coupon says $50 per line, so are they really going to give $50 credit for each line you renew? Planning on renewing all 4 of our lines during the BF sale, so that would be nice if they did.
What if say I get the TP2 using the BF promotion, then decide in 2 weeks I don't like it and want to do the 30 day thing and swap to the Tour. Are they going to return it at the cost I paid and then charge me the current price of the Tour? or would they let me do "value for value" trade?

You would get credit for what you paid, then pay current pricing for the replacement.

That's what I thought,,, which kinda bites,,, because it kinda defeats the purpose of the 30 day trade up.... Looks like I will just get the Tour and be done with it,,, I don't want to risk not liking the TP2 as well...
You'll have to let us know what they say, as I am in the same boat, 30th day is Thanksgiving.
I would like to drop this on them too, since it is within the 30 days http://www.ursoconnected.com/pdf/coupon_f_GD_USC.pdf . Courtsey of BigE.
And I suppose if worse comes to worse, could take the Tour back and undo it all and redo it all with the coupon during the Black Friday event.
Or I guess at minimun we'll get the latest price drop match.
I'll let you know. I'm going to the Dubuque store.
I'd definitely take advantage of the $50 credit. I'd also definitely do a 30-day return if they refuse to credit you for the Black Fri deal. I can't (did it on my last contract, and this is my first contract since then), but I would if I were you. I'll know by tomorrow.
Oh well, I just realized I can't participate in the $50 promo, I'm enrolled in $39.95 MW LOCAL 1000 ST (A VERY old plan...)
I just noticed that too (after printing out the coupon). I'm also on the $39.95 (1000 anytime minutes/month) plan. I'm shooting myself in the foot left & right here.
I'm a little disapointed, but I don't think many plans can beat what we have. I have not switched to a newer plan because it'll end up costing me more per month than what I pay now. I think I've had that plan for maybe 5 or more years?

Well that's the question, we can't tell you that without knowing the details of your last contract/upgrade.
Thanks for the fast response! Our last renewal/upgrade was in May of '08, so our 18 months should be up by black friday (I think, lol). I guess the best thing to do would be to call customer service or something and have them review the contract details?
I have a similar question. My contract was up the 10th so im eligible but a few months after I signed up i switched to a family plan and added my brother and a friend. will the b eligible at the same time as me or is it from the time i added them to my contract?

well if your contract is up already (24 months+), and they signed up a "few" months after, than I would probably say yes they are eligible, considering you only have to be 18 months into your contract to renew. And if they are going from dumb phone to smart phone, they only have to be 12 months from what I understand.
But yes, it goes from whenever they signed onto a contract, not from when you signed yours. Unless of course you added them without signing a contract, in which case they would be eligible to sign a new contract at any time (of course).
