Not sure if my circumstances preclude my getting the deal...
Had the Razor on a 1-year contract starting in Jan '06. Upgraded to the Delve in Nov '08 (I think that was also a 1-yr contract, but I'm not positive). Did a 30-day return on the Delve, cancelling the contract. Re-bought the Delve used a month later, and stayed on my old contract. So with upgrading to the Tour, I'm now on a 2-year contract. It cost $249.95. Add $17.50 for taxes and fees for a total of $267.45. There wasn't a discount applied. Either I'm not eligible or I need to contact customer service. Ditto for the $20 customer appreciation thing if I'm eligible.

$249.95 is the current renewal price for the Tour. $269.95 is the new customer price.
Any USCC agents or employees on here who could answer the following....
Just wondering if they ever work with you on things like price matching (or if they have the ability to work with you). I've been a customer for 6 years this January. I've added two lines to my account in the past few years. I always pay my bill on time. Are there exceptions made on a case by case basis or is it more black & white? I'm going to talk to the guy who sold me the phone. Just wondering what to expect.
Right now I believe I would be perfectly happy with a TP2. My worry has been what if I get the TP2 now and then in 6-8 months Win 7 with the Zune player built in comes out on some super-cool new phone? Then I'll wish I would have stuck it out and waited.
But now, If I can get the TP2 for free, paying an ETF in a year or so won't be so painful.
I called customer service to ask for more information on how the 30 day return policy works. She said I can return it with all the original stuff within 30 days and get my money back. I could then buy it again cheaper on the 27th. She checked my account and said the 30th day for the Tour I bought would be the 27th, so I should be good.
She also said the information in this thread is definitely not accurate and there is no way the Tour will be as cheap as $70.
I smell a revealing of the account I have with USCC to the mother for her to do a CoR of my line so the fiancee and I will be on the same account and then I can prorate ETF out and back in on a tour for about the same price of a new Tour...

I'm a complete idiot at message boards, but I had a thought and just wanted to throw it out there. Is there a set date that calling plans usually change in pricing? The reason I ask is this: I've been out of contract for awhile on the 650 National and I plan to sign a new 2 year on the 1000 promo at the same price. I haven't done this yet because I planned to get a new phone when I re-sign and I was waiting for the Tour to come out, and then I decided to hold off till Black Friday to see if I could get it cheaper. So, back to my question, I was just wondering if anyone foresees any likelihood that prior to their amazing Black Friday sale if USCC would discontinue the 1000 promo (so that you'd sign a new 2 year on a less attractive price, thus making up for discounting the phone so much up front).
Am I just being cynical and paranoid or is this a valid concern?

Unknown at this time. However, it would be no problem to renew now for the plan, then renew for the phone later. The second contract will replace the first, so really, it would only be adding a month to your existing contract.
