If you only have a month or two left before you are eligible for renewal or upgrade, not to END THE CONTRACT, but to upgrade and renew the contract, then all you can do is pretty much go into the store and ask. It would more than likely be no good to go into an Agent store, only because they have no real authority to do this. If you can't get the Corporate store to do it, you can always call US Cellular's 1888 number and ask to speak with someone in the Customer Relations Department. They are usually good about giving people an early upgrade over the phone, especially if you are a customer that has been with them for a while. I personally am 18 years old, but my grandparents have been with them for over 12 years, and we have done probably about 5 or 6 early upgrades through Customer Relations, one of them was almost 5 months away, so we could get a promotion price. Hope this helps.
(And yes, there really is a Customer Relations department. They are higher than your normal customer service representative, and have much more authority.)
I just read a news article that said that USCC is going to relaunch the "Calling all Communities" campaign. Do you think that it is possible that the "big" announcement on Nov. 13 could be this and not a BF sale?

I heard they were going to do this again, I hope it's not the big announcement...Was it really that big?

I ask only because I've found that most agent locations do NOT speak on behalf of the company, are not empowered the way corp locations are to make decisions and they may have their own agenda/promotions which a corp location will not or cannot match
How'd you get this info then? So much chatter here and no real foundation on whether or not this is for real...

I'm thinking the same. I really hope this is true. My contract has been up for months now and I've been holding out for a long time to get a new phone. I'm all over the Tour (or possibly TP2, we'll see), and if this deal is true then I'm certainly going to make the effort to get to a store on the 26th. Just hate to get my hopes up and have this end up being some rumor or something. I guess we'll see though.
Dang page 7.. I was just thinking someone could enroll on here and make up a story that they are a customer and walked in a store and they leaked the info. When in reality they are an employee that just wants to give out info. I guess there is no way of telling . The only was is to get more admins that will delete threads.
This really only hurts sales between now and the 4 day sale. When the customer learns there is a sale after they bought the phone they can call in and get a credit. Heck just about every store i shop at has the same rule. No sence having 300 people crowd your store in 4 days. Now if you miss the sale you are SOL but that is the same anywhere.
I don't think it's appropriate to ask him where he got his information from. If you stay around here long enough you'll see who knows what's going on at USCC.

If you look back at the first post of this thread you'll see that it was BassGeek who originally was told the news from a store associate. My source asked that I not break the news but instead first wait for someone else to mention it, then confirm and that's what I did.
Believe it or not, complain if you will, it's up to you.
